Collaboration of HSSA and International Surfing Association (ISA)

The result of the merge of the Hellenic Stand Up Paddling Association (HSUPA) and the Greek Surfing Association, was the formation of Hellenic Surf & Sup Association (H.S.S.A) and we announce the launch of the official representation of the International Surfing Association (ISA) for the entire Greek territory.

The International Surfing Association (ISA) has 99 member countries from all 5 continents and is responsible for developing its sports as well as organizing the world championships ISA World Masters Surfing Championship, ISA World Stand Up Paddle Championship, Paddleboard, Long Board , Bodyboard, World Surfing Games, World Junior Surfing.

The Hellenic Surf & Sup Association (H.S.S.A) is currently the largest independent authority of all ISA sports in Greece, founded in 2015 and counting over 100 active athletes-members. Its aim is the development of all its sports in Greece, the cooperation with domestic and international organizations dealing with its sports as well as the organization of the Greek SUP Cup. For 2017, HSSA will proceed with the organization of the 3rd Greek SUP Cup, the organization of the 1st Greek official Surfing competition, the promotion and development of its sports as well as the training of judges and sports instructors with the official guidance of the International Surfing Association(ISA), continuing the seminars organized by the Greek Surfing Association (GSA).

We must emphasize that the outcome of this collaboration is that for the first time Greece can participate in all the official ISA world championships for 2017. Thus, the process of qualification of Greek athletes for these world events will be carried out exclusively through of the HSSA's activities.
